Fine, I’ll just get SOBER then!

So, I must retaliate. I couldn’t get any drunker and still take pictures, so I had to go to the other extreme. I sobered up, and took this picture of Katie.

Speaking of being sober, its a good thing, because I had to go back to work today. Even sober, it still took me 5 minutes to figure out why the report I ran was missing 4th quarter, 2005. It turns out I was filtering it out. Oops.

In knitting news, well, I didn’t do much knitting over my vacation. I baked and cooked a lot. I played my Troll character in World of Warcraft. Kevin and I cleaned up in preparation of the cleaners coming today. But, knitting? Well, the problem is that I’m working on my mom’s sweater, and I kind of hate knitting it. It’s going to be gorgeous - the yarn is great, the lattice pattern is awesome, and the sweater is well constructed. But knitting it is a pain in the ass. Every stitch is cabled across every other row of the sweater in order to make the lattice. It makes for a nice dense fabric, but there isn’t much stretch. I’m not using a cable needle, and it hurts my hands. I’m not sure a cable needle would help much, and it would just slow me down.

I’m not letting myself knit anything else until this sweater is done, otherwise Mom will have to wait 3 years for her sweater, just like last time. And it is going to be a great sweater. If my hands don’t fall off.
