Oh Christmas Tree…

Hi there! I’m alive. Things are great. Kevin and I are super happy. His son still likes me. The cats are good. I’ve been knitting, but of course, not taking pictures. Ravelry has been sucking up tons of time. In any case, here’s a picture for you!

It’s Rocket in a Tree!

It’s not actually posted on the site, I just submitted it. If you click on the picture you can vote for it, but I don’t think it’ll do any good. :)

Merry Christmas! I just talked to Mom and she said that you didn’t get my letter, my two emails, two calls or voicemail. Is she right? She also said there is a ton of presents to me and the cats at her house. This is the only way I could think to get a hold of you… Hi knitting buddies.

Tell Kevin, James, Katie, Hunter and Rocket Merry Christmas.

Laura, I could not find an e-mail contact for you, so I’m putting my question about the “Serenity” afghan here. I was using the written instructions (only because it’s faster than charts for me), and I believe Row 32 is incorrect. I’ve checked it against the chart & it is REALLY different! I’m “assuming” the chart is correct. Also, on the chart you have Rows 32, 34, 36, 38, & 40 using a p2tog at the beginning & ending of each section. Is this correct?

    Cute picture.

This is totally irrelevant, but sometimes comments get faster to people than other data. At Salon, you mentioned a round-trip Denver/Chicago trip for May that may get nixed by Frontier’s problems. You do know Amtrak runs from Denver to Chicago, quite comfortably and at a highly competitive price. I won’t fly — I love it, but the environmental costs are too high and I hate TSA. I’ve done Amtrak to Chicago from Denver about half a dozen times in the last three years for business and I’m always happy with the service and the schedule. I get a lot of paperwork done on the train and it only takes about 4 more hours in “real time” (20 mins to train station, 1/2 hour boarding and baggage, 12 hour trip (most sleeping or working in comfort) versus hour drive to DIA, 3 hours for check in, TSA, at least two delays, 4 hours in the air, an hour for baggage….)

You might give Amtrak a thought — we need those trains.
